The All New Citysound 97.5 FM respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle information through CITYSOUNDFM.COM and the My Citysound community on this website.

Information we collect
- Member accounts: username, display name, email address, password hash for email/password accounts, verification records, account status and profile details you provide.
- Profile information: birthdate, location, social handle, profile photo and choices about public birthday recognition and on-air birthday mentions.
- Community activity: photos, captions, birthday greetings, social links, votes, permissions to publish or broadcast, and moderation records.
- Messages: your name, email, message and any optional phone number or business details you submit through our forms.
- Technical information: IP address, browser/device information, request logs, cookies and similar information used to deliver the website, maintain sessions and prevent abuse.
Facebook sign-in
If you choose Continue with Facebook, Meta may provide your Facebook account identifier, name, email address and profile picture according to the permissions you grant. Our sign-in integration uses this information to create, connect or authenticate your Citysound account. It may store the provider identifier, profile information and access token needed by the integration. Citysound does not receive your Facebook password.
Facebook sign-in is optional; email/password registration is also available. Facebook processes information under its own privacy policy. Removing Citysound’s access in Facebook does not itself delete information already stored in your Citysound account; see the deletion instructions below.
How we use information
We use information to operate accounts and community features; verify email addresses; save preferences; process submissions and votes; moderate content; respond to messages; deliver requested account emails; and protect the service against spam, fraud and misuse. Birthday display and on-air recognition use the choices you provide.
What becomes public
Approved submissions may display the names, photos, captions, locations, social handles or greetings supplied for that feature. Submitted contact emails and the birth year in your member profile are not intended for public display. A birthday greeting may be read on air when permission is given. Only submit another person’s information or photograph when you have permission.
Public content can be viewed, copied or shared by others. Removing a website item cannot recall a broadcast or copies made independently by others.
Service providers and external services
Hosting, website security, email delivery, streaming and sign-in providers may process information needed to provide their services. Authorized Citysound staff use account and submission information to administer the service. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to investigate misuse and protect the service.
External news links, social platforms and embedded media are operated by their respective providers. Loading or interacting with them can disclose technical information such as your IP address and browser details. Their own privacy terms apply. Providers may process information outside Grenada.
Cookies and listening
Cookies and similar storage support sign-in, security and website preferences. You can use the website’s Cookie Settings where available and your browser’s controls to manage storage. Blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in or other features from working. Streaming requests are handled by our streaming provider and may generate connection logs.
Retention and security
Account information is retained while needed to operate your account. Submissions, correspondence and technical records are retained for their operational, moderation and security purposes, subject to deletion requests and applicable obligations. Backup copies may persist beyond removal from active systems until those backups are replaced. We use access controls and other safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and data-deletion requests
You can update available profile fields and birthday preferences in My Citysound. To request access, correction or deletion of your personal information or Facebook-linked Citysound account, email [email protected] with the subject My Citysound — Data Deletion Request, or send the request through our contact form.
Include your Citysound username or account email and explain whether you want to delete the account, particular submissions or both. Do not send passwords or Facebook access tokens. We may ask you to verify ownership before acting. We will explain any information that must be retained and confirm the outcome of the request. You can separately remove Citysound’s connection through Facebook’s app settings.
Children
My Citysound membership is intended for people aged 13 and older. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it where appropriate.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services change. The current version will be published on this page, with notice of significant changes where appropriate.
